Botox® vs. #NEWTOX

Botox® is the standard when it comes to wrinkle treatment. But, we all secretly have the same question in our minds: Is there anything else better than Botox®? Some say #NEWTOX is a strong contender. #NEWTOX, also known as Jeuveau™ is the newest product in the line of wrinkle blockers on the market. But, is it better than Botox®?

What is Botox®?

Botox® has become a household name for being a widely used wrinkle blocker among celebrities. The injectable treatment is composed of a clear gel made with the active ingredient, botulinum toxin. When injected into the muscles of the treated area, the botulinum toxin temporarily freezes the muscle causing the wrinkles in the skin to relax and improve in appearance. Botox® is most used to treat frown lines and deep wrinkles across the forehead and between the brows.

What is #NEWTOX?

Jeuveau™, known popularly around social media and online as #NEWTOX, is the latest and so-called greatest in wrinkle blocking injectable treatments. Similarly to Botox®, Jeuveau™ is also a clear gel made with the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin. Because the active ingredient in both products is the same, the effects of Jeuveau™ are very similar to Botox® as well. When injected into the treated area, Jeuveau™ temporarily freezes the muscle, relaxes wrinkles and prevents further wrinkles from appearing. Like Botox®, Jeuveau™ can be used to treat frown lines across the forehead and between the brows.

Does Jeuveau™ Last Longer than Botox®?

In short, no. Remember, both Botox® and #NEWTOX are made from the same active ingredient. Because they are both made using botulinum toxin, their results take effect and last for similar lengths of time. Whether you are treated with Botox® or Jeuveau™, it’s likely you will have to wait 24-48 hours to see results from your treatment. The effects of both Botox® and Jeuveau™ last for about four to six months at a time. We recommend following up with us every four months to maintain your results.

Is Jeuveau™ Better than Botox?

Realistically, the answer to this question is all up to preference. The biggest differences between Botox® and Jeuveau™ are how they are formulated and how they are manufactured in their facilities. Both products use the same active ingredient and perform in a similar fashion. We recommend giving #NEWTOX a try if you had a bad experience with Botox® in the past or are looking to try a new wrinkle blocker.
