Brow Lift in Glastonbury, CT

Dr. Beam offers brow lift surgery for patients in the Glastonbury, New Britain, Hartford, New Haven and surrounding areas of Connecticut.

We offer brow lift surgery to help patients reverse visible signs of aging in the brows and forehead. A brow lift—also called forehead lift—can significantly reduce deep creases and wrinkles on the forehead, as well as fix droopy eyebrows and eyelids. You will be left with a dramatically younger look.

How is a Brow Lift Performed?

To begin the procedure, an incision is made above the hairline. From here, Dr. Beam can release the muscle near the eyebrows and remove excess skin from the forehead. The remaining skin can be pulled taut to reduce wrinkles and creases on the forehead. The incisions are then closed and a dressing is applied.

What Can I Expect After a Brow Lift?

Most patients experience some swelling or bruising. To help alleviate this discomfort, Dr. Beam may prescribe oral pain medication. Most patients can return to light work after a week or two, and we ask that you avoid heavy lifting for about four weeks.

How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?

The cost for brow lift surgery depends on the severity of the case. Since this is considered a cosmetic surgery, insurance will not cover the cost of your treatment. Dr. Beam and his staff can discuss all pricing and financing options with you at your initial consultation.

Brow Lift FAQs

How long does a brow lift last?

On average, our patients are still happy with the results of their brow lift procedures up to 10 years following their surgery. It’s important to note that receiving a brow lift will not prevent further signs of aging from appearing in the future. To maintain the results of your brow lift, we encourage our patients to lead a healthy lifestyle and consider using medical-grade skincare products.

Can a brow lift fix hooded eyes?

Yes, the brow lift is a great option for patients who wish to address hooded eyes, a furrowed or brooding brow, or excessive fine lines and wrinkles along the forehead and brow area. A brow lift is often recommended in conjunction with a facelift for optimal results.

What’s the difference between a brow lift and an eyelid lift?

A brow lift is a surgical cosmetic procedure that reduces excess skin around the brows and forehead that contributes to a brooding or aged appearance. An eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, on the other hand, addresses the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids. While each treatment provides satisfying results on its own, it is often recommended that patients receive both treatments together to achieve the best outcome.

Where are the incisions for a brow lift?

The incisions made for your brow lift will be carefully and strategically placed behind the hairline. This allows patients to achieve beautifully natural-looking results with scars that are easily hidden and discreet.

At what age should I get a brow lift?

While there is no perfect age to get a brow lift, we most often see patients ages 50 to 65 interested in receiving the procedure. That being said, good candidates for a brow lift are 35 to 75 years old, in good general health, and have realistic expectations for their desired results. If you believe you’re a good candidate for a brow lift, we encourage you to come in for a private consultation with Dr. Beam.
