Dr. Beam offers cheek implant surgery for patients in Glastonbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven and surrounding areas of Connecticut.
Prominent and full cheeks often give you a more youthful, fresh appearance. Many times, as we age we lose the definition in our faces, making you look gaunt and aged. Cheek implants are growing in popularity since they can give you a more feminine, youthful look with higher cheekbones. Our cheek implants are made of high quality synthetic materials that are custom shaped to your individual needs. Many patients also choose to combine their cheek surgery with dermal fillers for optimal results.
How is Cheek Implant Surgery Performed?
Dr. Beam will make an incision based on the existing bone structure of your face. Then, he can place the cheek implant on top of the cheek bone, or right below it and sutured or screwed into place. Finally, the incisions can be closed. Some patients also choose to have injectables along with surgery for optimal results.
What Can I Expect After Cheek Implant Surgery?
Many patients experience bruising, swelling and some discomfort in the cheeks. This can be alleviated using pain medication and ice. We ask that you avoid any strenuous exercise for at least three weeks. Dr. Beam may also recommend that you sleep with your head elevated for a few days after surgery. It is important to stick to the after care regimen that Dr. Beam will describe before the surgery.
How Much Does Cheek Implant Surgery Cost?
Since cheek implant surgery is considered a cosmetic procedure, insurance will not cover the cost. Dr. Beam and his staff can discuss all pricing and financing options with you at your initial consultation.
