- Dull or uneven skin tone
How Much Do iS Clinical® Peels Cost?
Every patient’s goal for their ideal look varies, and the cost of your treatment will vary depending on the extent of treatment needed to fulfill these goals. Our skincare specialist will discuss your goals and desires to determine the cost of your procedure at your initial consultation. What is the Prodigy Peel System®?
The Prodigy Peel System combines Resorcinol, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Citric Acid to target multiple skin concerns ranging from mild to moderate aging, mild acne, and pigment irregularities. These ingredients are coupled with a powerful “booster”, featuring an advanced form of Salicylic Acid, providing enhanced benefits when compared to other superficial chemical peels. Because of its innovative formulation design, there is a decreased chance of pigment irregularities, and it can be used on all skin types, including darker Fitzpatrick types. This system is self-neutralizing and requires no neutralizing products. Optimal, cumulative improvements will be noted after administering a series of treatments. Treatments can be done as often as every four to six weeks.
What is the Prodigy Peel System Pro®?
The Prodigy Peel Pro System combines Resorcinol, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid coupled with a powerful “booster”, featuring an advanced form of Salicylic Acid, to provide an enhanced superficial to medium-depth chemical peel, resulting in a brighter and more youthful complexion. This multitasking chemical peel works to powerfully target skin laxity, acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin texture – visibly improving skin imperfections resulting in a renewed complexion. It can be used on most skin types but is most suited to Fitzpatrick types I, II, and III. It is particularly beneficial to individuals with hyperpigmentation, aging, and blemish-prone skin. This system is self-neutralizing and requires no neutralizing products. Visible results will be noted after just one treatment; cumulative improvements will be noted after administering a series of treatments. Treatments can be done as often as every six to eight weeks.
What is the difference between the Prodigy Peel System and Prodigy Peel System Pro?
The main difference between the systems is that the Prodigy Peel System Pro is 3x more potent that the Prodigy Peel System, providing a deeper treatment. Due to the increased depth of the peel, it is recommended for Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-III, has a longer downtime and peeling period and requires longer wait times between treatments.
What makes iS Clinical® chemical peels different from other chemical peels?
iS Clinical® uses only the purest and most powerful pharmaceutical-grade ingredients utilizing the most cutting-edge science in order to create formulas that are extremely efficacious and well tolerated by the skin. The peel prep/tone uses Witch hazel, offering many benefits to the skin, rather than most commonly-used acetone, which irritates the skin. The peel solution itself is formulated with potent acids that work synergistically to effectively target skin concerns with less downtime. The booster that can be applied is unique to iS Clinical®, boosting the power of the peel and encouraging skin regeneration. Ultimately, both the Prodigy Peel System and Prodigy Peel System Pro help to correct a number of imperfections without the harshness associated with most chemical peel procedures while still maintaining and even enhancing the health of skin.
What is the Chemical Peel Treatment Like?
Chemical peel treatments usually take about a half an hour in total. Before the treatment, we will cleanse the skin to prepare it for the application of the peel. Then, we will apply the peel to the skin. This process may vary slightly depending on the peel, as each peel has different ingredients and varying strengths. Some peels may cause a tingling sensation, while others may be completely comfortable. Depending on your goals and skin reaction, the peel can be applied in multiple layers and a booster can also be used for more of an affect. The peel is self-neutralizing, meaning no other products will be applied.
Is There Any Downtime After SkinMedica® Peels?
After a chemical peel, patients may notice redness or sensitivity in the skin for a few days, much like a sunburn. As the skin begins to heal, it may peel or flake off. This is a common effect of treatment, although the extent of peeling will vary by patient. It is important to protect the skin with sunscreen immediately after a chemical peel, as it will be highly sensitive to sunlight. You will also want to use a gentle cleanser and moisturizing products – we will provide you with aftercare instructions and an aftercare kit. Besides these minor side effects, there is not much downtime after chemical peel treatments. Patients are typically able to return to normal activities within a day of treatment, but may have peeling.
