Radiesse® is unique for its amazingly long-lasting benefits. It is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in gel. For the first few months after treatment, Radiesse® fills in the treated area, but as it is absorbed by the body the microspheres stimulate collagen growth in the skin. Collagen gives the skin its elasticity, so extra collagen makes the skin smoother and more youthful in appearance. In some patients, the benefits of Radiesse® are visible for up to two years.
