How is Eyelid Surgery Performed?

Some patients choose to only have the upper or lower eyelids improved, while others choose all four. The incisions are made along the natural curve of your eyelids, so visual scarring is minimal. From here, Dr. Beam can remove any excess tissue and fat and close up the incisions. Many patients also choose to use injectables or other techniques to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes after surgery.

What Can I Expect After Eyelid Surgery?

It is common for patients to experience swelling and bruising, however your eyelids should return to normal in one to two weeks. Dr. Beam will prescribe an oral pain medication to help alleviate any discomfort you may feel.

How Much Does Eyelid Surgery Cost?

The cost for eyelid surgery depends on which eyelids you choose to have done. Insurance will not cover the cost of surgery since this is considered cosmetic. At your initial consultation, Dr. Beam will discuss all of your pricing and financing options.
