Chin implants have become a popular way for patients to create a more defined, aesthetically appealing chin. Our chin implants are made from top of the line synthetic materials that are custom-shaped according to your personal cosmetic goals. Many patients also choose to combine their chin implants with dermal fillers for optimal results.

How is Chin Implant Surgery Performed?

The incisions for your chin implant surgery may be made in one of two places. In some instances, the incision is made along the lower lip inside the mouth; otherwise the incision is made in the skin just beneath your chin. From here, a pocket can be created over the front of your jawbone so the personalized implant can be inserted.

What Can I Expect After Chin Implant Surgery?

Most patients experience some bruising, swelling and discomfort after surgery, which can be alleviated with oral pain medication and ice. Dr. Beam may recommend that you sleep with your head elevated for a few weeks after surgery to help with the recovery process. Additionally, if you are a smoker we will ask that you not smoke two weeks before and two weeks after surgery.

How Much Does Chin Implant Surgery Cost?

Since chin implant surgery is considered a cosmetic procedure, insurance will not cover the cost. At your initial chin surgery consultation, Dr. Beam can discuss all pricing and financing options with you.
